My Personal Bucket List

I saw a photo "reel" today on Pinterest that had pictures to describe someones bucket list items.  It was cute and got me thinking....what is on my bucket list.  I've recently been having this on going discussion with my husband about what I want to do with my life.  I have basically achieved everything that I wanted to accomplish for my life in my 20's and now I'm just sitting here like "now what".  I guess I didn't dream big enough.  At the time I guess my dreams seemed bigger than myself but now looking back I can see how unaware I was of my own abilities.  Well since I am going to be 30 in a few months I might as well get some adult goals.

I found this article on Pinterest, and I fell in love with the idea...
 http://www.carolinebakker.com/do-you-have-a-bucket-list-live-life-to-the-full/
One thing that was mentioned in the article was "what would you regret when you are on your deathbed?"
I sure don't want any regrets when that time comes so its time to figure out what will make the rest of my life worth while by writing a bucket list to create my best life.

Here goes...

My Next 30 years

Get out of Debt

We looked at our monthly bills and realized that more than 25% of our monthly bills are going to creditors.  That is a huge amount of money that we could be using to do awesome things with- Give, travel, save for retirement, and most importantly stress less about money.

Lose 20-30lbs and keep it off this time

I want to be able to keep up with my kids and look great doing it.  Losing weight is not just for vanity but the steps that I need to take to healthfully drop the pounds and inches will allow me to have a healthier lifestyle.  Less sugar, processed food and more activity will help me (and the rest of my family) have more energy, be healthier and happier in the long run.

Drive an RV across several states

Go on a retreat to build schools or clean water facilities in another country
I realize that if I want to raise children that give I need to set the example and start being more active in local and global charities.  I recognize that I live in abundance and that I can share my blessings with other by being active rather than only throwing money at things.

Seek and Save the lost

This should be the life mission of every Christian

Take my kids on a Disney cruise

Spend my 10th wedding anniversary in Hawaii
http://www.lmprophoto.com/blog/index.php/2010/04/15/moana_surfrider_wedding_hawaii/
I think that because we are always changing and evolving as people as we grow older, it would be a good idea to re-write and re-new our wedding vows every 10 years.  It will give us a chance to acknowledge that changes that we have each made and revise our promises to each other in honor of these changes.  I do not subscribe to the idea that because my husband was one way when we were married he needs to stay that way for the rest of his life.  He has the right to change just as I do and I want to evolve to support him.  And it would be an excuse to have a beach "wedding" with the kids in Hawaii.

I"ll make it rain!

And give most of it away....Yes you read that right.  If I won a jackpot over 5 million I would give most of it away.  I don't think that anyone NEEDS more than a couple million dollars.  Investing is key.  Again, not an actual achievable goal, but lets just pretend shall we.

Buy a DSLR and take super awesome pictures
Perhaps I can turn a photography hobby into something I can make extra money with.

I realize that I am still only 29 and these dreams will change and evolve as I grow, but for now, today, I think they are pretty awesome and I plan on structuring my life to start crossing them off the list to make room for bigger and better goals.  And I suggest you sit down and make a personal bucket list of your own if you haven't already, it is really fun, and creates excitement about the years ahead.

Happy Living,
