Thankful Thursday Feb 21

Today I woke up to a wonderful text, a text that I had been waiting for, for a while.  One of my favorite people had just got engaged.  Hooray, I had been mentally planning her wedding since we planned my own (bwahahaha). Then I realized that today my little niece was going to take her first breath.  Whoohoo.  Then my son was talking about a cousin that he wished he had more time with and I realized that we were moving down the road from him.  Triple score! My Husband, kids and myself all woke up this morning healthy and ready for the day. Always the best gift an one that we take for granted. And I am planning a trip to Disneyland (probably the best part about my day J/K).

So today I am Thankful that God always comes through.  Yesterday I felt anxious so I prayed...see Philippians 4:6.  Today I woke up feeling hopeful and excited.  It was almost as if he answered my prayers by replying, "focus on all the good things that are happening over the next year, don't worry about the unknown, I will take care of it..keep going, it will all work out".  Thanks God.  I am Thankful for a God that is always there.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I am thankful for my friends and family, who know me, who love me and who don't listen to the propaganda that is being spread about me.  Family and friends who know what it means to love, forgive and live.  I need to forget what has happened in the past and press on with my life in love and happiness focusing on the people that I love and who love me in return.

I read a verse today about love and about what love is and how to love and I realized that it is just as important to "do" love (love as an action verb) as it is to speak love. Just saying I love you is not enough.  We need to show it through actions.  This week I am going to focus on showing love, not just saying I love this person or that person.  I will act it out, by helping where I can, putting my pride aside, forgiving, reacting with empathy and love.

1 John 30:18
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Happy Thanking
